North Dakotas Licensed Real Estate Salesperson Requirements

What are the state of North Dakotas requirements to become a licensed real estate agent?
  1. Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
  2. Applicants must possess a good reputation for competency, honesty, truthfulness, financial integrity, and fair dealing.
  3. Applicants must also pass a Criminal History Record Check and submit fingerprints to the NDREC.
  4. Must complete 45 hours of pre-licensing education in courses of study approved by the Commission.
  5. Must carry Errors and Omissions Insurance
  6. Pay all appropriate application fees.

North Dakotas Licensed Real Estate Broker Requirements

What are the state of North Dakotas requirements to become a licensed real estate broker?
  1. Must have been actively engaged as a licensed real estate salesperson for a period of two years preceding the date of application OR an applicant shall have had experience as determined by the Commission to be substantially equal to that which a licensed real estate salesperson would ordinarily receive during a 2-year period.
  2. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
  3. Must complete a criminal background check and submit fingerprints to the NDREC.
  4. In addition to the 45 hours of pre-licensing eduaction, an applicant for a brokers license must have successfully completed an additional 60 hours in courses of study approved by the Commission as broker level education prior to making application to the Commission.
  5. Must carry Errors and Omissions Insurance.
  6. Pay all appropriate application fees.

Designated Broker or Delegated Associate Broker License CE Requirements:

24 or 30 hours (effective on and after 1/1/2013) of ADRE-approved Continuing Education (CE) courses must be completed every two years to renew a real estate license.
