Missouri Appraisal New License Requirements
In the state of Missouri, there are four levels of licensure for real estate appraisers:
- State Licensed Appraiser Trainee
- State Licensed Appraiser
- Certified Residential Appraiser
- Certified General Appraiser
If you would like to earn an appraisal license in Missouri, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED
- Complete the required educational and training hours
- Pass the state examination
- Turn in application and pay associated fees
To begin as a State Licensed Appraiser Trainee, you must complete 75 hours of educational credits plus 4 hours of supervised trainee experience. To move from trainee status to State Licensed Appraiser, you need an additional 75 hours of education plus 1000 hours of experience completed within 6 months. Missouri Appraisal Continuing Education Requirements
All Missouri real estate appraisal licenses expire on June 30th of even years. To qualify for renewal, licensees must complete 28 hours of continuing education during the two year period. Of these 28 horus, 7 must be covered by the USPAP Update course.
