Do I have to submit my Affidavit before I can start a course?
No, but we recommend you submit the Online Affidavit as early in your education experience as possible. You will not be able to print your certificate of completion until your Affidavit has been received. If you have already submitted an Affidavit for another course, you do NOT need to submit another form.
I did not receive an Affidavit in my email. Where can I find it?
In the toolbar of your industry home page, you will see, “Online Affidavit Download.” Follow the instructions to print the document, complete the information at the bottom of the form, and either fax it to us at 801-756-1886 or scan and email it to support@praedo.com.
What are the system requirements?
Please see the “System Requirements” link on your industry homepage for a complete explanation.
I’ve downloaded Flash and Java, but the course is still not loading. Now what do I do?
If you are running your course through Internet Explorer, it may be blocking the content. Go to www.firefox.com and download it as a browser. Using Firefox as your internet browser, download Java and Flash again and restart your computer. While using Firefox as your internet browser, go to www.praedo.com, login to your home page, and restart your course.
I completed the chapter test, but the system starts me at the beginning of the test again. Do I need to re-take the test?
Do not complete a test more than once. If this is an issue, please contact our office at 877-309-2567 or email support@praedo.com. A member of our staff will verify that the course has been completed and will forward you through.
There is a check mark next to the course I completed instead of a box. What does this mean?
After completing a course section, sometimes the system will place a checkmark next to the section title instead of filling in the box. The checkmark is no different than the filled-in-box that you are accustomed to. You do not need to complete the course again. These boxes are not accurate indicators of your progress. To view your recorded progress, go to the “Transcripts” section on your home page. Click on the title of your course then scroll down the page. Whenever you see a score in the “Last attempt score” area, the section is complete and recorded.
Can I go back into a course and review the material?
Yes, you can review material unless you are in the middle of a quiz or test. When you enter the section again, make sure you answer “Yes” when asked if you’d like to resume where you left off. If you answer “No,” the system will reset the timing mechanism on slides you have already viewed. If you always answer “Yes,” you will be able to review any material you have previously viewed at your own pace and will not be required to repeat the tests.
When I go back into a module to review, it shows I haven’t completed the course. What can I do?
After completing a chapter, your progress will be reflected in the “Transcripts” section of your home page. If you re-enter a course, the completion indicator may change. The box should change to half black and white, instead of being solid black. However, these boxes are not necessarily accurate indicators of your progress. Depending on your particular computer settings, they may not properly report section completions. The most accurate reflection of your course completion will be recorded in your official transcripts.
When may I print my certificate?
Your certificate may be printed once your course has been completed and your Affidavit has been received. After you have completed your course, your certificate will be available in the “Certificates” section on your home page. If your certificate does not show up in the “Certificates” section, please make sure we have received your Affidavit and check your “Transcripts” to be sure all sections of your course are complete. If your course is complete and you have submitted your affidavit, you may just need to log out of your account, and then log back in for your certificate to be made available.
How do I print my certificate?
Select the “Certificates” section on your home page. On the next page, click on the word 'Print' directly to the right of your course title (not the word Print in the gray box). When the next screen opens, you will be required to click on the word 'HERE' in the first sentence at the top of the screen. Once you’ve clicked on the word 'HERE,' your certificate will open into a printable PDF document.
If I purchase the renewal package, do I receive a certificate for each course as I complete them or just one for the package?
The renewal packages are set up as one course. A single certificate is issued when the entire package is complete, unless otherwise indicated.
When will my credits be banked?
Credits will be banked in a timely manner as required by individual states. Please see the state specific FAQs listed in the course catalog for your particular state and course selection.
What does "Cross Approved" mean?
If a course is cross-approved, it is certified in more than one jurisdiction or in more than one industry. All courses listed within a certain jurisdiction are approved for that jurisdiction. If the courses states "No" for cross certification, it is not approved in other jurisdictions or for other industries. Please use our 'Cross Approval' tab for more information.
How do I know if a course meets my state’s 'Core' requirements?
If a course is certified to meet the core requirements for a state, it will either be indicated in the course description in the course catalog or you will see the word “Yes” to the right of the course description under the 'Core' heading in the online course catalog. You can find the core requirements for a state within each state specific catalog.
